The COVID-19 crisis has made it mandatory for many humanitarian teams to work remotely. New skills are needed to be able to change our ways of working and to do it effectively.

Join this webinar to learn how to become more effective as a manager and as a team member as you work at a distance from your teams. Isla Johns and Sipiwe Mhlanga will take us through principles on Remote Management and share useful tools to enable us to work more effectively remotely.

Isla Johns is a Senior Capacity-Building Manager at Save the Children, where she works with teams around the globe to build the organisation’s effectiveness and efficiency. Her background is in innovation and programme development and she has a decade of experience in the not-for-profit sector. She is passionate about children’s rights and supporting children and families. Outside of her day job, Isla is a trustee at the UK charity Home-Start.

Sipiwe Mhlanga is an experienced Learning and Talent Development specialist who has over 15 years in Human Resources Management and Learning and Talent development in the Public and International Non-Governmental Organisation sectors (INGOs). She has held various positions at Save the Children, ranging from country office HRD, to regional coverage in support of countries in East and Southern Africa. She currently holds the position of Learning and Talent Development Director for Africa. Sipiwe’s passion is developing managers and leaders so that they reach their potential. She is a mother of three beautiful children.
