SMS Training is providing this Ofqual regulated pre-hospital care qualification, ideal for those who have a specific responsibility to respond to emergency situations. With both practical and theory-led assessments, this course will benefit learners by enabling them to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of prehospital emergency situations. It will also prepare them to be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective prehospital care in situations that can arise when providing emergency treatment and/or management.

Who would benefit from this course?

This course will allow learners to be prepared for a number of trauma situations and although desirable, requires no previous First Aid training to enroll. Therefore, this course would be recommended for those seeking a career in the emergency services and ambulance service. Course content:

This course is separated into a variety of modules over a five-day learning period alongside guided learning hours, resulting in a certificate which is valid for three years if completed. Learners will gain the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to deal with a range of prehospital care emergencies, including managing a patient’s airways, heavy bleeding, caring for fractures and more. Assessments for this course include

  • 13 Practical Assessments
  • 3 x Theory assessments (multiple choice questions)
  • 4 x Skills Tests
  • Continuous assessments throughout the course

L3 First Responder is a qualification on the Regulated Qualification Framework (RFQ) and is regulated by OFQUAL, ensuring the highest quality training is delivered. Course prices The course is only £525.00 per person *All prices inclusive Registration and Certification, 5 Days. Student manuals are provided along with access to free post-training support for all students. Payment Options We are happy to generate an invoice, however as these courses fill up quickly we request a 50% deposit or Purchase order to secure each participant's place, once this is received we will then send out the course material and pre-reading. The balance is required to be settled 5 days before the start of the course.
