Fourth IRCS relief aid reaches Yemeni capital

Mohammad Shahabeddin Mohammadi Araghi, Under Secretary General for International Affairs and IHL of the Iranian Red Crescent announced that the fourth humanitarian relief aid of the Iranian Red Crescent in cooperation with the Omani authorities reached Sana’a through maritime border to be distributed amongst the needy people.

“Fourth Red Crescent humanitarian aid consists of 900 tents, 4,500 blankets, 900 kerosene heaters and 900 kitchen sets,” said Mohammadi Araghi adding that another cargo plane with medicines, medical supplies and food items is waiting in the Iranian capital of Tehran.

The fifth Red Crescent humanitarian aid weighting 19 tons including 3,000 tins of canned food and 55 pallets of medicines and medical equipments will be resent to Sana’a by air when clearances received. The Saudi fighter jets intercepted an Iranian cargo airplane carrying this humanitarian aid from entering Yemen’s airspace on Friday, 24 April 2015.
