The camps are being provided water through tankers to meet water requirements of the affectees. Beacon House School System on June 12 gave a donation of Rs.1.1 million to Governor Punjab Muhammad Safdar to help alleviate the sufferings of the affectees of Balochistan. The donation has been collected by the school children , Kasuri family and their company. Pakistani community in Khartoum has contributed Rs.135,958 for the drought hit areas. The amount contributed towards the relief of their brothers in need is really generous keeping in view their number and resources. It is unprecedented in Khartoum, said Embassy sources here.

Pakistan's Ambassador Zafarullah Shaikh during his meeting with the community on May 23, appealed for contributions for the relief of those affected by the drought . He apprised the community members of the serious drought situation and the community responded by pledging that they would contribute whatever they could towards the noble cause. Some contributions were made on the spot and others are still being received. It is worth mentioning that the size of Pakistan Community in Khartoum is small and not that affluent. Some are involved in business and a few teaching in the universities and working for UN agencies etc. Punjab Red Crescent Society (PRCS) will also despatch relief goods to the drought stricken areas of Cholistan, Baluchistan and Sindh. A convoy of three trucks carrying items of daily use will leave from the society's office located at Shahrah-i-Fatima Jinnah to the drought affected areas on June 13. The Chairman of the Punjab Red Crescent Society Lt.General (retd) Muhammad Iqbal will see off the convoy.
