Comoros:
Tropical Cyclone Hellen passed about 100 km south of the Comoros between 28 to 29 March 2014. Initial findings indicate that on Anjouan Island, 7,869 people have been displaced and are being hosted by relatives; and an estimated 720 houses have been damaged and 180 destroyed. One road connecting 4 villages to the capital of Anjouan was cut off, isolating 10,000 people. The rains, in addition to an earlier 4.8 magnitude earthquake on 12 March 2014, greatly increased the risk of landslides. This necessitated the evacuation of an additional 3,030 people to 3 makeshift camps, where about 1,550 people remain as at 11 April 2014.

Namibia:
As of 11 April 2014, 65 cumulative cases for suspected and confirmed cholera have been reported, including 1 new confirmed case. This brings the total number of confirmed cholera cases since February 2014 to 5.

Tanzania:
According to media reports, 10 people have been killed and hundreds displaced by heavy rains that have affected the capital Dar es Salaam from 11 to 13 April 2014.
