The security situation throughout the country remains volatile after new clashes in Bangui and high level of tensions in many areas. The third week in a row of increasing IDP figures in Bangui confirms a departure from the downward trend since mid-January, with an overall increase from 177,000 to approximately 208,000. In Cameroon, the influx of refugees from CAR is continuing with about 5,000 new arrivals per week. In Chad, almost 62,000 evacuees remain in transit centres, mostly in the South near the CAR border.
