Highlights

● Fresh clashes were reported in Jonglei, Unity and Upper Nile states. Due to fighting, three counties are currently inaccessible for aid agencies.

● Impediments on road movements for aid agencies or contractors transporting relief supplies continued to hamper the response, including efforts to pre-position food and other life-saving stocks.

● Since the start of the crisis, around 222,000 people have fled from South Sudan to neighbouring countries. In the past week, some 890 people arrived in Uganda daily.

● With rains arriving early, humanitarians are stepping up efforts to improve displacement sites and shelter for people in flood-prone areas.
