Situation Overview
Grave human rights violations and the killing of innocent civilians are ongoing in the Central African Republic. More than 650,000 people fearing for their lives are still internally displaced across the country, including 232,000 of them in Bangui alone. Insecurity, acts of violence against aid workers and underfunding are seriously hampering humanitarian operations at a time when the rainy season and hunger gap are set to start at the end of the month.
