HIGHLIGHTS:

  • BRAZIL: 1.4 million cases of dengue, to include more than 520 deaths. Brazil is the country with the highest number of cases.

  • PARAGUAY: The country is facing its worst dengue epidemic with 32,000 hemorrhagic or acute cases.

  • BOLIVIA: Some 10,000 people have been affected by flooding in the department of Cochabamba.
