This map illustrates remote sensing-detected areas of damage in Eastern Visayas region caused by the Typhoon Haiyan as analyzed by the US government (USG) using multiple sources and as of the 13th of November 2013. Using a rapid assessment methodology, USG has released this data daily since the passage of Typhoon Haiyan on 8 November 2013. This map is intended as a regional guide indicating areas of damage and is provided by UNITAR/UNOSAT based on requests from humanitarian personnel in the region. This is a preliminary analysis & has not yet been validated in the field. Please send ground feedback to UNITAR / UNOSAT.
