BLIDA, Algeria (PANA) - Algeria has dispatched a medical team of four doctors and six senior health technicians specialised in epidemiology to Maputo, to assist Mozambique's flood victims.
Djamel Ould Abbas, Algerian minister in charge of national solidarity, said in a statement the gesture was in solidarity with Mozambique which maintains good relations with Algiers.

He also reiterated Algeria's determination to foster solidarity among African peoples in accordance with the guidelines issued by President Abdoulaziz Bouteflika, who is current chairman of the Organisation of African Unity.

The medical team left Tuesday with sizeable quantities of drugs and accessories offered by the Algerian Medical Union, the Saidal Group, the Pasteur Institute and the national solidarity ministry.
