Aid organizations stepped up the response to communities affected by armed hostilities and inter-communal violence in Jonglei State’s Pibor County. Around 75,000 people have been registered for assistance, and over 50,000 have so far received food assistance in Dorein, Gumuruk, Labrab and Pibor town. Partners are also providing basic healthcare, distributing shelter material and household items and helping communities access clean water and sanitation facilities. Thousands of civilians are thought to remain cut off from assistance, and further needs assessments in the county are planned.
