The humanitarian situation in the Central African Republic is chaotic and continues to deteriorate significantly since December 2012, shifting from a protracted humanitarian crisis towards a complex emergency. Fresh waves of clashes between local population and Seleka caused more than 148 deaths and 4,125 people refuged to Chad, and over 17,000 newly internally displaced persons (some displaced for the third time).
