First "My knowledge about Afghanistan" camp held in Alborz province

The first “My knowledge about Afghanistan” camp was held in Alborz province. The event coincided with the anniversary of the independence day of Afghanistan.

In the second series of the “My knowledge about Afghanistan” contest held for all refugee students in levels of Junior High and High School & University, DG BAFIA Alborz said, “ With the 30 year presence of Afghan immigrants in Iran, the new generation of Afghans of who born in Iran no little about their homeland. Accordingly a special 2 day camp alongside a series of the “ My knowledge about Afghanistan” contest was conducted with various programs for refugee students in in levels of Junior High and High School, University & graduates. The intention behind these programs is that these students become better acquainted with the various aspects of their country; Geography, history, culture and different country attractions.”

In regarding to the educational services provided to them in Iran he added “Afghanistan needs the knowledge you have acquired here in our to grow, develop and flourish”. He also mentioned that several winners have been chosen from each province regarding the contests and that they would all participate in the country wide contest which will take place laterin Fars province.”

Afghans recounted the hardships they had experiences during the years, while Iranian scholars and Afghan refugee students explained regarding the services that the Islamic Republic of Iran had provided during the years. More than 1500 Afghan student boys and girls participated in the event and visited the “My knowledge about Afghanistan” exhibition which consisted of books, posters, arts and crafts, calligraphy, painting etc stands. At the end of the conference 20 of the winner were presented with gifts.
