METROLOGICAL FEATURES

Yesterday’s trough of westerly wave over Northeast Afghanistan & adjoining areas today lies over Northern parts of the country.

Yesterday’s low pressure area over Southwest Uttar Pradesh persist today lies over Rajisthan.

Seasonal low lies over West Balochistan.

Moderate to strong moist current from Arabian Sea & Bay of Bengal is penetrating upper parts of the country upto 7000 feet.
WEATHER FORECAST NEXT 24 HOURS
- Widespread thunder storm/rain with scattered heavy falls with isolated very heavy falls and one or two extremely heavy falls is expected over Upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad & Sargodha Divisions), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Peshawar, Kohat, Hazara, Malakand, Mardan & DI Khan Divisions) & Kashmir along with Multan & DG Khan Divisions. Fairly widespread thunderstorm / rain is also expected over Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Quetta, Kalat, Zhob & Nasirabad Divisions. Scattered thunder storm / rain is expected over Southeast Sindh & Gilgit Baltistan. (Note*: Light Rain – 7 mm, Moderate Rain – 5 mm – 25 mm, Heavy Rain – 25 mm – 75 mm, Very Heavy Rain – above 75 mm)
