Highlights

• According to the Government’s FATA Disaster Management Authority (FDMA), the number of people displaced from the Tirah Valley in Khyber Agency, Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), since mid- March increased to 48,169 people (6,265 families) as of 18 April.

• Humanitarian partners indicate the number of the internally displaced people (IDPs) could rise to 84,000 people (14,000 families), as many of the displaced people are yet to be enlisted or registered.

• A multi-sector inter-agency assessment is under way to identify the priority humanitarian needs of the IDPs. Initial findings are expected by 26 April, and will be used for joint strategic planning, priority setting and coordinated humanitarian response.
