There are about 349,269 IDPs in Yemen of whom 316,787 are in the north and 32,482 are in the south (including Dhamar). There are, however, 180,032 registered returnees, including 36,845 in the north and 143,187 in the south. In addition to displacement, about 107,000 new arrivals (refugees, asylum seekers and migrants) predominantly from Ethiopia crossed into Yemen in 2012. Over 17,000 have crossed in 2013, this is a reduction on the estimated 23,000 arriving in the same period last year. Currently about 25,000 migrants are stranded in and around Haradh, Hajjah Governorate, but humanitarian agencies have been forced to reduce assistance because of funding shortfalls.
