Capacity building training for teachers concluded

A month long capacity building training of teachers and provincial education directorate staff ended here in Samangan province. Capacity building training of teaching and management was conducted by Swedish Committee for Afghanistan in collaboration of provincial education directorate.

The training which was initiated in December ended in January this year was attended by 550 trainees (teachers, principals and other education staff) including 450 females.

The training they were provided was in-service training including natural science and school innovative, earlier marriage consequence, result based management and on environment protection. Thirty trainers run the training.

Provincial education director Mavlavi Abdul Aziz “Azizi” and SCA Mazar-e-Sharif project office education manager Miss Maryam Zhila inaugurated the training. Mavlavi Ab. Aziz Azizi in his speech appreciated SCA and outlined the effectiveness of these trainings and said it impacts positive on result of students learning achievements.

Those who attended the training were so pleased with the content, delivery and management of the training and appreciated SCA for holding training and informative programme and focusing on Samangan province.

Mahbooba “Rahmat” a principal of Ajani Malika high school Aibak city said “many training have been conducted in the past ten years, but it is the first time, we attended such a quality and useful training. She said that it was the best training but we need further assistance to implement it.

“It practically addresses our daily needs and opens up eyes for improvement,” she added.
