Typhoon Bopha (locally known as Pablo) dissipated by the morning of 10 December, leaving 647 dead and 780 still missing.

Out of 302,586 people who remain displaced, 133,892 are currently in 172 evacuation centres.

Rapid needs assessments indicate a dire need for water, food, shelter, medicines, non-food items, such as generators, and protection in Davao Oriental, Compostela Valley and Agusan del Sur.

On 10 December, the Government and the Humanitarian Country Team (HCT) launched the Bopha Action Plan for Response and Recovery as part of the Philippines Humanitarian Action Plan 2013, requesting US$65 million to reach 481,000 of the most affected people.
