Pyongyang, September 3 (KCNA) -- Typhoon-15 brought big damage to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

As of Sunday, it was confirmed that the typhoon left 48 persons dead and more than 50 injured or missing, 6 700 odd houses destroyed or inundated and 21 180 people homeless across the country.

It also damaged at least 50 000 hectares of farmland, ravaging crops in 45 320 hectares of paddy and non-paddy fields.

More than 16 730 trees fell down and 880 industrial and public buildings were disabled.

Tens of educational and medical service buildings were destroyed.
