CARE International fully supports women’s rights and the dignity of women in Egypt. Given the critical role women play in all aspects of Egyptian society, it is imperative that their worth and status be acknowledged and strengthened in the new Egypt.
CARE is a member of and stands with the Egypt Network for Women’s Rights Organizations (NWRO) in its efforts to promote women’s empowerment in Egypt.
CARE calls upon the government of Egypt, political parties and communities to work together to create an Egypt that that respects and upholds the rights of women in Egypt to realise their full potential and participate in shaping the future of the country.
