The Emergency Response Fund (ERF) for Zimbabwe has received a pledge of US$882,500 from Norway for supporting pro-jects in humanitarian interventions in the country. The donation will shore up ERF balance to approximately US$1.3 million thus enabling it to meet its objective of availing timely and predictable funding for small scale but high impact humanitarian interven-tions in the country.

From January 2011, the ERF has supported 9 projects in WASH, Agriculture and Protection worth US1,276,225. The ERF funds projects that can be implemented within six months or shorter duration and are responding to priority areas of emer-gency intervention in line with strategic objectives as set out in the current CAP.
