  • Heavy rainfall has been affecting several Provinces of the Black Sea Region (northern Turkey) since 24 June, causing floods that have resulted in casualties and damage.
  • The Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) reports, as of 29 June, two missing persons, of which one in Kastamonu Province and one more in Düzce Province. In addition, AFAD reports 2,106 evacuated people (of which 361 to a number of shelters) across Bolu, Bartin, Zonguldak, Sinop, Düzce, and Kastamonu Provinces. Bartin Province is the worst affected, with more than 850 evacuated people.
  • AFAD deployed around 5,800 personnel, 1.633 vehicles and 5 helicopters to assist the affected population in all the affected Provinces.
  • Over the next 24 hours, more heavy rainfall is forecast over the whole Black Sea Region.
