  • In week 5, 2022 IDSR reporting timeliness was at 85% and completeness was at 93% while timeliness was at 83% and completeness was 98% for EWARN sites

  • Hepatitis E virus cases continue to be reported in Bentiu IDP settlement with, 1,912 cases and 13 deaths (CFR 0.67%) reported since week 1, 2019

-Confirmed measles outbreak in Torit county, Eastern Equatoria state

  • Suspect cases (34) reported in Doro refugee camp, Maban, Upper Nile state

  • Of the 77 alerts in week 5, 2022; malaria (21), AWD (20), ARI (12), measles (2) and ABD (12) were the most frequent alerts

  • 57 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 this week, making total of 16,851 confirmed cases and 137 deaths ( CFR of 0.81%) in South Sudan

  • Alerts of pertussis, meningitis, yellow fever, and VHF reported and are being investigated respectively in Cubiet, Maridi, Ikotos, and Torit
