Hepatitis A

  • New Caledonia: Hepatitis A outbreak is still ongoing; 455 cases were reported between 01 January 2021 and 11 October 2021, in comparison to 100 cases reported in 2020 and 5 cases in 2019*.* – Source: Personal communication with country officials on 12 October 2021.

Pertussis

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)

  • Australia: As of 11 October 2021, 129,570 confirmed cases of COVID-19including 1,448 deaths were reported in Australia. Local cases have been reported in the last 14 days.– Source: Department of Health, Australian Government accessed on 12 October 2021.

  • Fiji: As of 11 October 2021, 51,535 cases and 653 deaths have been reported in Fiji. There have been 51,465 cases and 651 deaths during the current outbreak that started in April 2021.
