Cameroon

As reported on 03 August 2021: In Northwest region, fighting between security forces and separatist groups has compromised the delivery of health care services, forcing MSF to withdraw its staff. Source: HumAngle

Central African Republic

As reported on 19 August 2021: In the zones around Kabo and other villages including Batangafo,
Bambari and Bria, MSF was forced to periodically suspend its medical activities due to insecurity.

Democratic Republic of the Congo

30 July 2021: Update: In the Lusangi area, Kabambare territory, Maniema province, the provincial council of the Medical Order of Maniema threatened to withdraw all doctors from Kabambare territory due to increasing insecurity. The Medical Order’s actions came following the shooting of the local chief medical doctor of Lusangi area a few days before. 05 August 2021: Update: In Kindu city, Maniema province, 15 people suspected of having been part of the killing of the chief medical doctor of Lusangi on 26 July were put on trial. Source: Actualité

10 August 2021: In Nyakakoba village, Walungu territory, South Kivu, a female nurse was kidnapped from a local health centre by armed men dressed in military and police attire who killed a man in his house and stole goods from medical patients. The nurse managed to escape from her abductors the following day, on August 11. She was apparently tortured and wounded in captivity.
