In the past days, heavy rainfall has been affecting parts of Bolivia, causing flooding which resulted in at least eight fatalities and damage.
According to media reports, three people died in Sucre City (Chuquisaca Department), three in La Paz Department, one in Potosì and one in Cochabamba Department, respectively. About 15,593 families have been affected across seven Departments of the country.
Red warnings for increasing river water levels have been issued for central Bolivia. Moderate rainfall with thunderstorms are forecast for most of Bolivia on 27-28 January.
