Highlights
• Markets are fully operational and staple food commodities available in all monitored food markets during the reporting week. Observations from market monitoring are as follows:

In some markets, retailers reported slowing trade activities compared to pre COVID-19 situation, as people only buy essential food commodities and in limited quantities.

This week’s prices were stable or slightly lower against monthly averages of June 2020.

Compared to June 2019, prices remain high, though some food and non-food commodities’ prices were decreasing in most markets including carrots (35-54 percent), cabbage (6.3-71 percent), onion (40-61.3 percent), vegetable oil (9-14.3 percent), petrol (10-22percent) and diesel (17.1-26.1 percent)
