Highlights

• Government of Pakistan is working on a plan to provide food ration to the daily laborer which will cost around PKR 50 Billion.

• Civil Aviation Authority has announced to re-start international flights from 5th April to bring back Pakistani National stranded on different international airports and countries.
The operations were suspended on 21st March following government’s instructions to stop COVID-19 transmission

• Government has notified extension for the education institutions to remain closed till 31st May, 2020.

• Government is exploring different options for the release of prisoners from Jails across Pakistan to reduce the spread in the Jails, the decision will apply on only those who were arrested under minor offences

• The Minister of State and Frontier Region visited an afghan refugee village in Kohat and distributed food rations to 1000 refugee families (Media Reports).

• UNHCR will providing medical supplies and sanitation products (sanitary clothes, soap and disinfectants ) to the health facilities in support of refugees and host communities in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.
