Floods and mudslides have affected central-north Colombia, leading to fatalities sand damage.
National authorities report 3 deaths, 7 injured and 6 missing following the overflow of several local rivers in Piedecuesta Municipality (Santander Department). More than 150 people were evacuated, several roads damaged. Search and rescue operations are ongoing.
On 26 February, a mudslide caused 5 deaths in Chinchina (Caldas Department) and at least 5 houses were destroyed.
An orange alert for mudslides has been issued for central Caldas Department. Moderate rain will persist over the affected departments from 27-28 Febraury.
