IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation delivered winter aid to 2.500 Palestinian refugee families struggling to survive in various regions of Lebanon.

Millions of people all over the world are suffering the extremely difficult winter conditions due to poverty, war and natural disasters. In addition to the cold, children and adults are also struggling with illness and diseases. Winter is more difficult for the small children who are suffering the extreme effects of the cold months. IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation that is making every effort to supply needs so these children can sleep at night in more warmer, healthier conditions continues to meet the basic needs of these deprived children every winter.

As a part of Winter Aid efforts, IHH delivered aid of fuel, blankets, kitchen equipment, stoves, gas tubes, children’s winter clothing, hot meals, mattresses and food to 2.500 Palestinian refugee families living in the Lebanon cities of Beirut, Beqaa, Jabal Lebanon and North Lebanon regions.

Latest Situation in Lebanon

Refugee families were the most affected from the economic crisis in Lebanon. Due to the lack of food and winter provisions, not only the Syrian and Palestinian refugees, but also the people of Lebanon have become dependent on international aid. Because of the economic crisis in Lebanon, inflation rates and poverty are increasing daily. Many companies were forced to close all over the country in general. The unemployment rate has reached 40%. The prices of food and goods are increasing every day.
