IOM Core Pipeline (CP) Unit in South Sudan provides critical support to Shelter and Non-Food Items (S-NFI); and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) partners in the procurement and delivery of emergency supplies to assist the most vulnerable populations including internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, and host communities affected by conflict, displacement, disease outbreak, acute malnutrition, and other humanitarian emergencies.
The vital and continuous prepositioning of humanitarian assistance items at the six key IOM hub locations and partner warehouses across South Sudan ensures that partners’ requests are served timely to address emergency needs of the affected population.

During Quarter 3, CP continued to work closely with the State Focal Points and national and international agencies that are members of the WASH, S-NFI, Logistics, and other clusters to ensure prioritized and coordinated coverage across the country, minimizing gaps and the overlap of services. IOM processed and responded to 79 requests from 10 national non-governmental organization (NGOs) partners and 24 international organizations for the benefit of approximately 122,959 households in over 35 counties across the country. IOM also transported 87.9 MTs of WASH and Shelter-NFI supplies such as mosquito nets, blankets, plastic sheets, nylon and rubber ropes, buckets, collapsible jerry cans, and latrine digging kits to Rumbek, Bor, and Wau humanitarian hubs, ready to support emergency response.
