  1. The government of the Republic of Korea (ROK) will extend 100,000 USD in humanitarian assistance to the Central African Republic (CAR) which has been affected by severe damage from floods caused by heavy rains that have continued since October 24.
  • Declared as a state emergency, the flood is reported to have directly or indirectly affected about one million people, including about 30,000 refugees, in Bangui, the capital of CAR, and the neighboring regions.
  1. As a responsible member of the international community, the ROK government will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to join the global efforts to help countries and their people suffered from natural disasters.
