On 2 October 2019, media reported heavy rain and an overflow of San Jorge river affected the municipalities of San Benito, Caimito, and Majagual in Sucre Department, Colombia. In Majagual Municipality, a total of 250 families were affected in the following neighborhoods: La Esmeralda, Vista Hermosa, Jobo, Nuevo Milenio, and San Vicente.
