88 asylum seekers arrived during the month of February of which 85% were from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

U.S Department of Immigration and four RSC (Resettlement Support Centre)-Africa case workers held a two week long Circuit Ride in Chipinge

Between 19 – 20 February 2019, UNHCR conducted a verification exercise. 137 individuals (62M: 75F) were verified.

20,129 persons of concern

KEY INDICATORS:

13,595 Registered refugees, asylum seekers and other persons of concern as of 28 February 2019

61.6 Percentage of registered persons of concern were granted refugee status by the Government of Zimbabwe as of February 2019.

8,048 Mozambican asylum seekers are living in Zimbabwe out of whom 1,502 are living in Tongogara refugee camp and 6,546 among Zimbabwean host communities in the Manicaland province.
