Kuwaiti Relief Consignments Arrive in Iran

TEHRAN, 8 April 2019 (IRCS) – Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) has sent two relief consignments, weighing 75 tons in total, to assist the Iranian flood-hit people.

The first consignment, which arrived in Iran on Friday, 5 April, weighing 40 tons, includes five tons of medicine and medical items, four water pumps and 600 family food parcels, each weighing 23 kilograms, containing rice, sugar, milk powder, edible oil, macaroni, salt, peas, dates and canned food and lentils.

Furthermore, the second consignment, which arrived on Monday, weighing 35 tons, comprises 1,000 family food parcels each weighing 23 kilograms, 600 family food parcels each weighing 10 kilograms as well as 1,200 rice bags.

These consignments will be distributed in the flood-affected provinces by the Iranian Red Crescent.

The recent flooding in Iran was caused by torrential rains in 23 provinces and killed 70 people.
