On 16 November 2018, the Honduras Permanent Commission of Contingencies (COPECO) reported heavy rain and floods in the city of Tocoa, Colon Department, Honduras where several educational institutions were affected. In addition, media reported, several houses were affected in Atlantida and Islas de la Bahia Departments due to floods and landslides occurring in the neighborhood of San Jose, La Ceiba city.
