Key Features

  • IOM, along with other Gender Based Violence actors, conducted a series of envisioning exercises with girls on International Day of th eGirl Child to explore and caputre key markers of change that girls and adolescent girls would like to see in their communities, in the camp and their vision for a future.

  • As part of cyclone preparedness activities, Interagency Emergency Health kids (IEHK), Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDT) for vector borne diseases and some medical tents have been collected from the World Health Organization (WHO) and prepositioned in strategic locations.

  • IOM's Needs and Population Monitoring (NPM) unit participated in a meeting with Bangladesh Army on the Joint Needs Assessment (JNA) tool which will be used in case of category 2 and/or 3 events. In case of such events, NPM will lead primary data collection of JNA.

  • IOM celebrated Global Handwashing Day by organising awareness sessions and distribution of hygiene top-up kits.
