This evening, Monday, a cargo plane will take off from =D6rebro Airport bound for Rangoon in Burma. On board are approx. 150 tents that will be delivered to the Burmese Red Cross. These are family tents of 12 sq metres and have been donated to the SRSA from the Swedish Lions. This tent cargo is in response to a request sent to the EU commission from the Government of Burma.

The SRSA is also sending two people to Burma namely Sofia Albrechtsson and Peter Holmström, who have been tasked by the EU to hand over the tents and while on scene to coordinate EU aid to Burma with other incoming international aid.

The aeroplane, an Antonov 12, will land in =D6rebro at 1900 hours and on completion of loading will take off at 2100 hours. And is expected to land in Rangoon late on Tuesday evening, after three intermediate landings.
