Government sets aside RSD 800m for urgent flood relief

Belgrade, 28 Aug 2018 – The government of the Republic of Serbia adopted today the Bill on the calculation of time, due to the need for our country to adopt a law that will regulate this area and define the calculation of time.

This will provide a unified calculation of time in the territory of the Republic of Serbia, which will be in line with the time used by European countries.

The government adopted several bills at the session, as well as the National emergency relief programme for the reparation works on the facilities for flood protection which were damaged by floods in May and June this year. Funds in the amount of about RSD 800 million have been set aside for this emergency rehabilitation.

The government adopted the Conclusion on the adoption of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Serbia and the US Government on cooperation in the field of infrastructure in order to strengthen the existing relations of the two countries and to create a favourable environment for investments in Serbia.

Several conclusions regarding the signing of memoranda with the Republika Srpska were also adopted.

The government passed an act granting the status of an institute of national importance to the Institute of Nuclear Sciences "Vinca" and the Institute for Medical Research in Belgrade.
