SITUATION
According to the University of the West Indies (UWI) Seismic Research Centre (SRC) the 6.8 magnitude earthquake occurred at 5:31PM (Local Time) at a depth of 88km. The earthquake was located Latitude 10.47N and Longitude 62.75W at 57km SE of Carupano, Venezuela. The Earthquake was felt strongly in Trinidad and Tobago in the cities of Port of Spain and San Fernando. The following CDEMA Participating States also reported tremors around the same time: Barbados, Grenada, Guyana, Saint Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Suriname.
