Temporary flood relief centres were opened in areas hit by floods between the months of July and August.

After floods hit most of Myanmar in July and August, flood victims were successfully shifted to 376 flood relief centres, and currently 338 of the 376 centres have been closed.

At present, a total of 15,018 people from 3,253 households are temporarily living at the 38 camps that are still open. The National Disaster Management Committee has donated Ks 300 million from its funds and the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement has donated Ks 493.8059 million for the flood affected victims, with additional support processes still ongoing.
