SUMMARY

1. Number of Affected Families / Persons

a) To date, 4,130 families or 16,052 persons have been affected in 27 barangays in Region VIII (see Table 1).

b) 20 Evacuation Centers are currently open with 2,070 families or 8,439 persons; while 1,954 families or 7,426 persons are staying outside the ECs with their relatives or friends (see Table 2).1

2. Damaged Houses

To date, there are a total of 3,639 damaged houses in Region VIII; 2,155 of which are partially damaged while 1,484 are totally damaged (see Table 3).

3. Cost of Assistance

To date, a total of Php 18,785,757.44 worth of food and non-food items were provided to Ormoc City and Kananga, Leyte (see Table 4).
