The Shelter Sector continues targeting the shelter needs of refugees living in camp and urban settings across the region. As outlined in the sector objectives, these projects include interventions such as targeted cash for rent for extremely vulnerable Syrian refugees and host community members, supporting the completion of unfinished housing units, the upgrade of substandard housing units in urban and rural areas, and rehabilitation of camp infrastructure and shelter upgrading in camps.

The Sector also continued to focus on rehabilitation efforts to improve camp infrastructure and upgrade shelters, contributing to sustainable living. Installing energy efficient systems continued to take priority to mitigate the impact of high energy prices and energy shortages.

The Shelter Sector during the first four months of the year reached over 20,179 households inside and outside camps with shelter assistance and shelter upgrades.
