The arrows on this map illustrate the reported displacement flows in North-East Syria governorates between March 15th and April 17th, 2017. The arrows display the flow of displacements during this period. Colors on the map indicate the arrival of IDPs as a percentage of total reported in Northern Syria.
In northern Hama governorate, military offensives have caused large number of displacements into Idleb governorate. Displacements were mainly headed to Kafr Nobol, Khan Shaykun and Heish in the south and Dana in the north of the governorate. Following a chemical attack on Khan Shaykun on April 4th, more than 4,000 displacements were recorded from the sub-district towards various locations in Idleb.
In Ar-Raqqa governorate, the continuation of military offensives has caused the displacemet of 33,355 from= the governorate, more than 90% of which from Ar-Raqqa sub-district. Most displacements moved either within the sub-district or to the west and north of the governorate, with smaller numbers moving south towards Deir-ez-Zor governorate.
In Homs governorate, a total of ca. 8,000 individuals have been evacuated from the Al Wa'er neighborhood of Homs city to Jarablus and Idleb.
