The seismic activity in the Philippines continued on 12 April. A new earthquake of magnitude 5.4 M at a depth of 10 km hit central Mindanao at 20.01 UTC. The epicentre was located approx. 20 km east of Wao (Lanao del Sur). USGS-PAGER indicates shaking up to "strong " for 9 000 people.

A 5.8 M earthquake hit the same area on 11 April, damaging 117 houses in the municipality of Wao (Lanao del Sur) and another 59 in Kalilangan (Bukindon).
