Dengue

· Solomon Islands: As of 1 January 2017, there have been 8,007 suspected cases (dengue serotype-2). There is a reduction in the weekly number of cases reported in December which is likely due to fewer sentinel sites reporting.

· Vanuatu - As of 12 January 2017, there have been 607 suspected cases (dengue serotype-2) since 11 November 2016. Of these 323 were tested using Standard Diagnostic’s Dengue Duo Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) of which 91 were positive (NS1 and/or IgM) Source: Vanuatu Ministry of Health
