The regional state of Somali says the prevailing peace has led to the emergence of key infrastructures in the state.

Vital infrastructures such as roads and water facilities have been set up owing to the peace in the state, according to the state's President Abdi Mohammod Omer.

The facilities helped ease the distribution of emergency food aid among drought affected people in the state and enabled locals to gain more access by cutting short time and resource wastage.

"Moving from place to place was a challenge in the state,” the President recalled, indicating the full restoration of peace which is key for federal and regional institutions to easily reach out to those affected.

Drought has affected pastoralists in nine zones of the state with cattle in some of the zones also facing the problem.
