Hurricane Dennis hits Haiti, workers bring relief

With your help, World Concern is meeting
the needs of thousands in Haiti who are suffering from the widespread damage
caused by Hurricane Dennis. In the week after Dennis hit, at least 40 people
have been reported dead and 16 missing. 500 Haitians have been evacuated
from their homes and the region has suffered staggering losses in crops
and liverstock according to World Concern Relief Director Kelly Miller.
Relief workers have been distributing
food and sanitation supplies to the impoverished republic in the immediate
aftermath of Hurricane Dennis. World Concern is providing 18,000 people
with emergency kits that include basic daily supplies and materials including
maize, wheat, matches, toiler paper and soap.
World Concern is helping to stabilize families so they can begin rebuilding their homes and their lives.
