COLOMBIA

  • Heavy rain has continued to affect the country, especially the central and western areas, over the past few days causing floods and landslides.

  • According to official reports, as of 28 October, 13 people have been killed, at least two have been injured and 10 more have gone missing in Capocabana town (Antioquia department) due to a landslide that occurred on 26 October blocking the BogotaMedellin highway and in the municipalities of Tado and Rioscuio.
    They also reported over 12 700 families affected in Choco Department.

EGYPT

  • Heavy rain affected several areas along the Red Sea coast (eastern Egypt) over 27-30 October causing floods.

  • Local media, as of 31 October early morning (UTC), reported that at least 22 people dead and at least 72 people injured in the Red Sea governorate. Most affected has been the municipality of Ras Gharib.

INDONESIA

  • Heavy rain has continued to affect several areas of the country over the past few days causing floods and landslides.

  • According to official reports, as of 27 October, 2 600 houses have been damaged in the provinces of Gorontalo, West Java and South Sulawesi. Local media also reported, as of the same date, that 12 people have been killed in Merangin district (Jambi province, Sumatra island) and in Bangdung city (West Java province) .

VIETNAM

  • Heavy rain has continued to affect several areas of the North Central Coast Region over the past week causing more floods.

  • Local media, as of 2 November early morning (UTC), reported that two people have been killed in the province of Quang Binh and more than 8 000 homes have been flooded throughout the provinces of QUang Binh, Quang Tri and Ha Tinh.
